Flexible Structure
The course is designed to offer opportunities and accessibility to every language learner, from limited to advanced levels of competence. Mixed ages and abilities within the same group present no problems because each structured activity contains tasks which are highly adaptable.
Accommodation in France
The course is based on the Opal Coast at the popular Hotel Peupleraie in Nampont St. Martin or at the Hotel les Cedres in
Camiers.
The principal focus of action is in Montreuil sur Mer which is a safe and friendly environment for investigations and has a rich local culture.
Interviews, surveys and phototrails can also be undertaken in Etaples, Stella Plage or Le Touquet. The course can be followed from any of our Opal Coast hotels or can be adapted for use in other areas of France.
Accommodation in Germany
Whilst much of the work is done in Boppard itself, our course can be followed from any of
our Rhineland hotels. All offer good facilities for evening study and are well positioned for carrying out the programme of visits and
excursions.
Foreign Correspondent Study Course
Our Foreign Correspondent study course is flexible, allowing for any special theme or topic students and teachers may wish to include. The accompanying activities booklet contains town trails, photo trails, local surveys, mini-tasks, quizzes and support for interviews and follow-up reports. Students can choose to pursue topics in as much depth as they like and the booklet encourages them to select according to personal interest and linguistic ability.
The course principally aims for students to combine the National Curriculum Attainment Targets in a personally focused way.
This course also provides language support ranging from the most basic to the more sophisticated. Above all, it offers excellent opportunities and good reasons for using the foreign language and having fun at the same time.
Sample Itinerary - FRANCE or GERMANY
Day 1
Morning departure from school by coach for your Dover - Calais crossing. Arrive at your hotel in time for your evening meals (first included).
Day 2-4
We recommend a half-day of language work each day with a balance of excursions.
Day 5
Depart in the morning with a packed lunch for your return journey to Calais.
Extra Day
Make the most of your stay by adding an extra day. Price available on request.
